LIFE LATELY - WATCHING AND PLANNING

Spring cleaning...
I don't know about you but when I get to the point where I own more than 20 pairs of shoes or 10 handbags, I get hit by some kind of anxiety. When I get to that point, I must get rid of some items. So that's what I did. I enjoy living a minimalist life but then I also like to shop from time to time, and then I end up with too much stuff again... It's a bit of a vicious cycle. But not as bad as it used to be several years ago.

Watching...
House of Cards: I have just finished the recent fifth season. I loved the twists and turns and I can't wait to see how it will continue.

13 Reasons Why: I didn't like the characters initially and I kept wondering what it was going to lead to. I seriously considered giving up several times but I'm glad that I didn't. The last episodes were the best and it all kind of made sense at that point. Will watch season two for sure.

Stranger Things: Not a bad show. In some ways it reminded me a bit of Wayward Pines. Maybe you agree if you've seen both too.

Big Little Lies: The first couple of episodes were good but just like with 13 Reasons Why, I started wondering why I was watching it. But the finale was top. I just think that the story could have been told with fewer episodes.

Reality TV: I'm fully up-to-date with The Real Housewives of - you name the city and KUWTK.

Twin Peaks: Very very excited about the new episodes. In my opinion it's the best TV show ever together with The Sopranos. So happy to be living in these times!

Vinyl: This show was cancelled after just one season. The pilot was a bit of a drag... It would have looked good on the big screen, that's for sure. I will nevertheless watch the remaining episodes.

Next month the new seasons of Game of Thrones and Shahs of Sunset will be on my screen.

Planning...
My summer trip to Canada. So far only Vancouver and the car rental have been covered. But there is so much more to do!

Attending...
I have a few concerts lined up: Elton John, Jamiroquai, Franz Ferdinand, The Kooks. I would have liked to see Liam Gallagher but his gigs were sold out immediately. I don't really want to travel to the festivals that he'll be playing. I hope that he'll add more dates in Europe once his album has come out in autumn.

  4. I definitely couldn't reduce my wardrobe to that size! Maybe it's all in my mind, or I'm just a hoarder...haha :)

  5. I felt the same way about Big Little Lies. It started out so promising and really dropped off for me midway through as well and by the end it was like just let me finish this for closure. Glad to hear you enjoyed the new season of House of Cards. We hope to start that soon. I put a link to watch Suspicious Partner on my post through Viki but I'm not sure if it is available in your country. JCW is all kinds of adorable in that show :D

  6. I love 13 reasons why too. Actually, I had no plan of watching it but I have a friend who insisted that we watch it, and so that's what we did. I watched the episodes at night, before sleeping and i kinda didn't like that move because i used to be depressed (maybe?) and anxious and i was also bullied emotionally so seriously, all the emotions were building up when i was watching and i was really affected. so yeah, i'm very curious about how season 2 would go.

  17. You've reminded me that I need to plan a concert or two very soon. I don't know why I stopped doing that! (I guess traveling.) On another note, I could totally relate to your minimalist/acquiring tendencies. Just yesterday I relished a few hours of throwing out cosmetics that I will never use. Woohoo!

  26. I am so bad on throwing or giving away clothes or accessories, sometimes I don't have space but it is still hard to do it. I usually don't watch series, I like more movies.
