Some of you may have seen via my Instagram story that I was in London last weekend. I went on two dinner dates and I got to discover two restaurants, COPPA and ROKA. Let's start with the first one: COPPA.
It was a bit tricky to find the location as the driver's GPS couldn't properly locate it. Once we got there, I was amazed by the view. I could see the Tower of London, Tower Bridge, the Thames, the Shard, and so on.
It would have been nice to eat in one of the igloos outside but they were all taken.
My starter: Aubergine Caponata Crostini
Main course: Club Caesar with feta
Dessert: Rhubarb Panna Cotta
The food at COPPA was nice, the setting was okayish but the service was really good. If I go back, I'd really want to eat in one of the igloos!
The night before I had a very late dinner at ROKA Charlotte Street. It was 11 pm local time, which was midnight for me.
We had sake and so many different dishes. If I hadn't taken photos, I would not have been able to remember all of them.
Sushi and kaiso salad
Black cod dumplings
Yellowtail sashimi with truffle dressing
Crispy prawn maki
We also had dessert but the photos didn't turn out great.
ROKA was super busy even though it was very late. Great setting and excellent food! I didn't like the fact that we had about seven different waiters (one of my pet peeves), although the service was good overall.
I'm already looking forward to my next trip to London, which is coming up soon.
