Sunday a week ago, I met my blogger friend Suze at Blanchette Brick Lane for lunch. I instantly liked the cosy interior. While at first I thought that there were a lot of meaty options, I quickly realised that there was enough on the menu for a pescetarian like me.
Suze and I chose a few dishes to share: frites...
... the salmon tartare with spiced aubergine, sesame and tomato, the salt cod cassoulet with tomato and basil and a roquefort salad with lentils, pumpkin and leek. We shared these small dishes but they were very filling.
For dessert I had a black currant financier with white wine sabayon.
I'm very glad that we tried Blanchette Brick Lane. It was definitely a memorable lunch!
