Happy New Year! I can't believe that I have taken such a long blog break. It certainly wasn't planned. In fact, I was going to post a 2016 travel summary last week but I didn't manage to do it. It will be up in a couple of days though.
I spent New Year's weekend in London. Time went by so quickly. I did venture to Piccadilly to do a bit of biscuit shopping at Fortnum and Mason but I didn't buy much else.
On New Year's Eve I went on a dinner date at The Aviary, a rooftop restaurant at Montcalm Royal London House. I loved the view from the terrace; it was breathtaking.
Dinner was exceptionally good. We had all these courses together with a bottle of Laurent-Perrier Cuvée Rosé champagne. Instead of the beef main course, I had gnocchi filled with cheese.
We didn't stay to watch the midnight fireworks. Instead we headed to Shoreditch House, where a huge party was taking place on the fifth floor and the rooftop.
This was one of the best New Year's Eves ever. I can't wait to see what else the year is going to bring about.
