Chiado | Belvaux

Yesterday evening I had dinner at Chiado, a Portuguese restaurant, in Belvaux. I went with Sara (check out her fashion blog www.theivorydiary.com), her husband and my friend Phil.

The staff was very attentive and nice. There was live music and it was the perfect setting for a Friday evening get-together.

I had bacalhau (cod) with crisps and vegetables. There are different kinds of bacalhau dishes on the menu and it was not easy to pick one. The preparation time took about an hour but the wait was worth it. Everything was fresh, huge and delicious! For dessert I had a sweet flan with caramel sauce.

I'm very happy that I had picked Chiado!

  13. Sounds like a great night! When I visited Macau last week we ordered bacalhau as well as I heard it is a famous Portuguese dish..but ours was sooooo salty =\ I'm not sure if they are all supposed to taste like that?
