Fashion Forward | Paris

Fashion Forward is another exhibition that I saw while I was at the Musée des Arts décoratifs in Paris. It covers the evolution of fashion over three centuries. The pieces on show were very impressive and overall it was a beautiful experience. The highlight was the final room (above) where today's top designers are represented.

I have to say though that compared to other fashion exhibitions that I have seen during the past few years, this one is my least favourite because somehow it didn't touch me in the way that other shows have.

The exhibition runs until 14 August 2016.

107, rue de Rivoli
75001 Paris

  8. It's a shame this show didn't touch you in the same way as others but it still looks like it was a beautifully mounted exhibition.

  9. Pity that it didn't move you as much as others, but sometimes that's how exhibits are. The photos are great though. Thanks for sharing.

  13. That metal dress is really cool. It looks like it's from Metropolis? But if this didn't resonate with you as much as other shows, the other shows you've been to must have been REALLY cool because I think this looks awesome!

  20. I saw the Dries Van Noten Exhibit here a few years ago. It was quite dramatic and dark. This exhibit has more light. I enjoy visiting fashion exhibits.

  25. Anouk,
I'm dying over this art display of fashion. Looks like there was a big range of styles through the years. Some of those ballgowns are amazing! I'm sure museums in Europe feature all kinds of lovely fashion, so it makes sense this one might be a little underwhelming for you. From this side though, it looks awesome!
