Things to do in Los Angeles | LA guide

As promised in my previous post, today I am going to share with you my favourite places in LA.

Whole Foods: my favourite is the one on 3rd Street & Fairfax near The Grove. It has a very large food selection, you always find a parking spot and it's great for people watching as every other person looks like someone that you have seen on TV (and probably have).

Farmers Market: right across the street from Whole Foods. It's another great place for people watching. All kinds of food and cuisines can be found here. My favourite is the Brazilian buffet.

If downtown, check out Grand Central Market and LA Live.

For more exclusive places, including fine dining, use Opentable, the Booking dot com for restaurants.

Here is a list of great roof top bars.

Favourite malls: The Grove, Santa Monica Place, Westfield Century City and The Beverly Center.

For top luxury shopping, head to Rodeo Drive in Beverly Hills.

Melrose Avenue has a mix of luxury and streetwear shops. The American Apparel store on Melrose is one of my favourite shops ever. Great vintage shops on Melrose are American Vintage and Wasteland

For discounted designer goods, go to Saks Off 5th (close to the Beverly Center).

There is also plenty of street art all over the city.

beaches: Malibu, Santa Monica, Venice
panoramic views: Griffith Observatory, Mulholland Drive, Baldwin Hills, Getty Center
weekend getaways: Palm Springs, Las Vegas
nearby national parks: Joshua Tree, Death Valley

These are a few of my favourite things... If you have any to add, please do so in the comments.
