Food diary | Luxembourg

Last week I tried a new place for lunch in the Gare area: Casa Fabiana. They serve organic food and offer lots of vegetarian options. I had an aubergine and tofu lasagna with vegetables, which was super delicious.

For dessert I ordered a strawberry mousse; I was suprised that it was liquid but it tasted good.

I don't think I had ever tried Oberweis' vegetarian burger, so this was a first. It was really really yummy, I would totally recommend it and have it again BUT I had to wait more than half an hour for it. I thought it was too long, given the fact that the restaurant was almost empty.

On Friday I ran into C and we spontaneously decided to have lunch at EXKi. I had a cup of egg mayo with salmon and a slice of salmon courgette tart.

Today is Mothers Day in Luxembourg and we will go out for lunch with the family. Expect another food post soon!

  1. Well, Casa Fabiana is on the pricier side.
They always say that everything they use is organic and is more expensive, so the customer has to pay it as well. I hear the excuse for as long as know the restaurant. And to be honest I don't believe in it anymore. Organic food is nothing exclusive and you can get pretty much everything for a fair an decent price these days.

  4. Organic food is definitely more expensive as I have been shopping at Naturata for the past two months. But I have been doubting whether the products truly are 100% organic (it's not like they're grown on a different planet), so I will go back to buying regular food at Cactus and Auchan.

I had lunch couple of times at Casa Fabiana as I used to work just next (old good times!), I liked it but I find it definitely overpriced. Ekxi indeed was my favourite lunch "easy" choice in the area.

  13. That tofu lasagna looks absolutely tempting! Actually, there are plenty of restaurants in Lux City. I can see you often dine out at different locations.
