Dinner at Da Leoni | Niederkorn, Luxembourg

My godfather had invited us to celebrate his wedding anniversary last night at Da Leoni, an Italian restaurant in Niederkorn. We started off with prawn skewers, tagliatelle and vegetables. As you can see, the portion of the starter was huge. It would have been more than sufficient as a main course but it was only the first course out of four.

Next up was a refreshing lemon sorbet dipped in champagne.

By the main that my main course, grilled salmon, was served, I was already full.

Dessert was also huge: fresh fruit and sorbet.

I had a small averna as digestif. Overall, it was a good dinner. I would not have had four courses because there was way too much food. As it was a pre-organised family event, I had to go along though.

Never heard of this restaurant, good to know it was a nice dinner. Myself as well, I prefer smaller portions if I plan to have more than one course. Will try it when in the area!

  22. The dessert looks so fresh and tasty! I almost cannot take a full 4 courses meal, and I am often full after only eating the starter.

  23. Anouk,
These courses look beautiful, but yes, large. I know what you mean about too much food. Sometimes, it's just not as enjoyable as smaller bites. What was your favorite course? The first one looks amazing to me...
