Capri Sun | Italy

Hello from Capri where the sun is shining! I got here two days ago - it took me about nine hours to travel from Luxembourg to Capri. I had a stop in Munich, then flew on to Naples where I had to figure out how to get to the island. I should have planned it before but I had not. I was too late for the speed boat and took the ferry which took quite a while. Getting from Capri's main port to the hotel was another mini adventure. I took a cab when I could have taken the funicular, which would have been ten times cheaper. Oh well.

Yesterday I wandered around Capri. I really love the luxury boutiques, the beautiful white architecture and the gorgeous sights. I met with my blogger friend Tiffany who flew in from Toronto. We've been blogger friends for four years and I had previously met her in Paris when we had lunch at Kong. I visited her hotel yesterday evening and it is everything that mine isn't. Check out her blog www.leftbanked.com.

We went for dinner at Rendezvous at Quisisana, a five star hotel in Capri. They offered oysters as an appetizer. Not wanting to reject the dish, I forced myself to eat my very first oyster. And it was the last as well. I am not a fan of this type of seafood. But my main course, linguine with broccoli, was very delicious.

Today we're off on a boat trip around Capri with a stop in Positano. More sunny photos to follow soon!

  1. Mediterranean flare all over your photos! Simply wonderful. I never ate oysters in my life, but I am not curious how they taste :)

  3. Anouk,
As always, your photos are absolutely gorgeous! I've been dreaming about visiting Capri for many years, and it's on my list for 2017! Was that fresh orange juice in the cup above? I bet the food is so amazing there, but like you, I'm not a fan of oysters either!

    Can't wait to see more!

    Love, Mary

I got a cup of orange juice from that woman too today. I can't believe how tiny the cup was for 5 euros :s Even worse..after I walked away an drank a few sips I noticed dead fly floating around in there =\ So I had to throw it out.

I see you went to Via Krupp..I actually wanted to go there (before I went to dinner) today but as soon as I got to Gardens of Augustus they had closed =\ Maybe I will on the last day

  10. Capri looks absolutely magical! I hope one day I can make a visit. <3
