Easter lunch at Le Pigeonnier | Bascharage, Luxembourg

Yesterday I had the chance to celebrate Easter with my family. We went to Le Pigeonnier, which is, as you know, my mum's favourite restaurant.
We started off with a green soup, creamy asparagus mousse and two sushi rolls.
I think that this was the first time that I have eaten sushi rolls at this restaurant. They were very delicious and French cuisinified.
I didn't particularly like the asparagus cream with beetroot though.
The first main course was turbot with brown rice on greens and creamy sauce. A true delight!
I liked the lemon sorbet because this time it wasn't served with alcohol the way it usually is.
The second main course was meat but I got fish and with scallops instead. Unfortunately I was really full by then and I couldn't eat it all.
And I had to leave room for dessert. Which looked very appetizing as you can see.
The strawberry mousse was yummy and so was the heart-shaped ice cream.
Although I had some of the dessert, I skipped the coffee and cakes at the end and I said no to a digestif as well. I am really watching what I am eating these days. I don't want to completely restrict any food but I have to eat everything with moderation.
How was your Easter Sunday? I hope it was as eggcellent as mine.

  7. All this food, Anouk, is pure torture (especially the dessert!)! I'm glad you had a good time celebrating Easter with your family. I spent my day studying (the Orthodox Easter isn't until May 1st anyway), and eating chocolate eggs.
