Champagne Afternoon Tea at the Waldorf Hilton | London

A few years ago I stayed at the Waldorf Hilton (see my post here) but at that time I didn't try their afternoon tea. On Sunday I had the chance to do this and to meet with Suze, also known as, The Luxury Columnist. It's always exciting to meet bloggers that you have been following for years and to finally meet them in real life. It was super interesting to learn about her blogging experience and I could have chatted with her for hours if we didn't have to vacate our table at some point as they were preparing the room for dinner service.

About the afternoon tea experience: The setting was nice, the food and the tea selection were good but the service could have been much more attentive. All in all it was good value but if you want to have great afternoon teas, I would rather recommend Fortnum and Mason, The Ritz or Sketch (click the links to see my posts). I'm sure that there are even more great places in London that offer afternoon tea and I hope to discover them in the future.

Thanks to Juliet for organising the event and thank you Suze for the great time we had! Hopefully we can get together again when you will visit Luxembourg.

  7. I really miss morning and afternoon. When I was living in New Zealand my fiends and I would often go have afternoon in between our breaks or lectures when we were at university. It's about the company and often the food and tea that make the occasion very special!

  26. It was such a pleasure to meet you both! I agree that the service was pretty bad however on the plus side I managed to drop a spare camera battery on the floor, called them the next day and they found it a day later so I got it back!
