LACMA | LA

"If you fail to plan, plan to fail" - that's what can be said about my attempts to visit LACMA (Los Angeles County Museum of Art). It was Wednesday, the only rainy day of my trip and I thought that it would be perfect to visit this museum. When I got there, I soon realized that it was the one day of the week that they are closed. I gave it another try the following day but as I hadn't looked up their opening times, yet again, I found myself there twenty-five minutes before closure. I got a free general admission but I couldn't access the special exhibitions, including the Frank Gehry exhibition. At least I got to take a few photos, including Chris Burden's Urban Light. Next time I need to plan better...

  5. This happened to me when I first wanted to visit the New York Botanical Garden and see the Faberge eggs at the Forbes building in Manhattan. I have since been able to visit the garden, but have yet to make my way to the Forbes building. Hope you get to enjoy the museum more next time!

  10. That's too bad, but yes, definitely visit and plan ahead so that you can grab the chance to see the other exhibitions. Lovely photos! I had a similar experience when we went to a Tate exhibit years ago.

  13. Thats such a bummer, I have always wanted to go there! I lived in LA for a few months and never made it over there. Do you know the name of the artist who did the painting in your bedroom?
