On 1 January I went to Flanders for a long weekend. The first stop was Bruges, a cosy town where I had been several times before. One of the main attractions are the canals and taking a boat tour is a must. But it wasn't the season and so walking around the romantic streets was all there was to do. Shops were closed but luckily some restaurants were open. I had lunch at Panier d'Or on the main square. On Tripadvisor it is ranked 503 out of 554 restaurants in Bruges. Need I say more? The setting and the service were so bad, while the food as alright. In the evening I drove to Ghent where I was staying for two nights. More pics to follow.
