Last weekend, one of my personal highlights was Saturday's dinner at Quaglino's, a restaurant that is very dear to me. I have been eating there on a regular basis since my teens.
The restaurant is located in Bury Street, just around the corner from Fortnum & Mason. It was refurbished last year and this was the first time that I saw its new look. Frankly, I much preferred the previous bright, clean, minimalist style. But it felt really nice to be back.
The service was excellent, from the moment that we arrived. We were promptly guided to our table and the staff went out of their way to accommodate any special requests we had. I had the grilled salmon with mashed potatoes and leafy spinach as sides. For dessert I ordered the cheesecake. The whole dining experience was impeccable and I left with a good feeling.
For now Quaglino's remains my personal favourite restaurant in London. By the way, it also has a great bar, if you ever feel like going there just for a drink. The restaurant has a long history and has welcomed interesting customers throughout the years, some of which you have heard of. You can read more here.
PS: The photos have been taken with my new iPhone 6s. With low light, the quality is so-so.
