I hadn't been to Mesa Verde, a mainly vegetarian / vegan restaurant, for ages! So when Claude, a blogger friend that I was going to meet for the first time, suggested this place, I was very pleased with the idea.
Claude and I have been meant to meet for months but as he was studying abroad, it was difficult to find a suitable day. I love blind dates and from experience they usually turn out well. We had lots to talk about and it was interesting to hear how he was preparing for an upcoming televised political debate.
Now to the food. In most restaurants, it's quite easy for me to make a choice as I leave out the meat section. At Mesa Verde, however, it was a bit more tricky. Everything sounded good!
I had a super tasty Caipi Vodka. Maybe some of you remember that last year, around the time that I went to Brazil, Caipirinha was my drink of choice.
Although I hadn't been to Mesa Verde for years, one thing hadn't changed: to start off your dinner, they offer you a large salad on the house.
My main course was the salmon and prawn brochette.
Claude had the Nabu Dofe Soba.
I would have stayed and chatted for more hours but I wanted to get up early the next day. Funnily, I missed the alarm though...
