Last night I had a pre-concert dinner with Y at Clé de Sol, the restaurant next to the main Luxembourg concert hall, the Phil. I had blini with smoked salmon; the few times that I've been to this restaurant, I've always enjoyed their great food.
The concert I attended was given by the talented and young pianists Alice Sara Ott and Franceso Tristano. The played an adapted version of Boléro by Ravel, some Debussy and Stravinsky. I mostly enjoyed the composition by Francesco Tristano himself, A soft shell groove (watch short clip below). I hadn't been to the Phil for a long time and this occasion was totally worth it.
