It's a small world

On Saturday I went for brunch with my Lux friend who lives in Copenhagen but who happened to be in New York as well. We met at Sarabeth's, about which I had read on Animated Confession's blog.
I had the salmon eggs benedict and french fries.
We shared these buttermilk pancakes for dessert. It was great to see my friend again and learn about her latest news.

Sarabeth's has a nice selection for brunch, the food was okay but the service was less impressive.

After brunch it was time for me to head to the airport. By coincidence I ran into the_shoptimist, who is from Luxembourg but who I had only known via Instagram. I knew she was in New York too but I had not expected to see her in person. We instantly recognized each other and it turned out that we live in the same town. She had also spotted Emilie in New York with whom I had hung out earlier this week. Although she was flying with a different airline, I saw her again after landing in Luxembourg. It's a small world after all...

  32. Each and every time I am travelling I am always meeting someone I know - around Europe I suppose it should be easier, in NY sounds a bit more awkward :P
