Saturday at IKKI

After a super busy week with daily evening events and meetings, I really enjoyed a lie in on Saturday. In the afternoon I did a photo shoot with the magnificent Sun. And afterwards she offered to take this photo of me. Here I am wearing

Coat: ZARA
Dress: DVF
The plan was to then do a bit of window shopping and have a late 5 o'clock lunch but I couldn't find anything suitable. In the end I went to IKKI for Cosmos and met with Fab for dinner.
We had artichoke soup as a hors d'oeuvre. It was so nice, I could have eaten an entire plate.
Fab ordered beef carpaccio.
I chose Aromaki, fried tuna and salmon rolls with a wakame salad.
For dessert we shared Black Forest, which looked completely different from what I had in mind when I ordered it.
But the cheesecake was the furthest from what I could have imagined. It looked like a light mousse. But I'm not complaining. The desserts tasted good and that's what matters.

After dinner I wanted to attend the event Un monde merveilleux at Melusina. But we were running late to see Gone Girl, which nowadays is only showing once a day, so I had to skip the event. I really wanted to watch this movie because it's made by one of my favourite film directors, David Fincher. I liked the plot because there were so many twists and turns. The ending was a bit unexpected though and it left me baffled. Have you seen it?

  1. The desserts look amazing! I am always so full and I skip them, but they deserve for sure. I love when traditional dishes are a bit re-elaborated! I have been to Melusina but apparently the party kicked off really late (after midnight) so you better went to the movie. I cannot wait to watch Gone Girl as well.

  39. You have successfully managed to make me hungry! Now I just need to go through my cupboard in hopes of finding something tasty :) As for Gone Girl, i first read the book and then saw the movie. I found the screen adaptation great, the actors all played well! However I found it a bit too long. If you haven't read the book, I'd suggest you give it a shot, as it has many more subplots ;)
