Blogging Class by Emilie / Janette porte Courrèges

I don't know about you, but when I want to learn, I want to learn from the best. So when professional fashion blogger Emilie, who writes the very successful My Little Fashion Diary, invited to her first ever blogging class in Luxembourg City, I made sure to be amongst the first to sign up.
The class was held at House 17, the private club that I am a member of, and was open to the general public. It was aimed at people who were thinking about starting a blog and those who want to take their site to the next level. Emilie talked about, platforms, creating a concept (brand), photography, social media, online tools and briefly touched upon SEO. She shared examples, dos and don'ts from her own experience and stressed the importance of networking, not only online but also in person.
Emilie kindly answered any question and told the class that the following sessions could be tailored according to any particular aspects of blogging that the group would like to focus on.
Carmen, Imena and Monika, who are part of our Blogger_LU group, were also present. After the class we hung out at the House 17 bar.

Emilie was available for those who had more questions and for photos. She is the first professional blogger that I have met in person and in Luxembourg. I wish her even more success in the future and I'm grateful to have her as a teacher.

The charming Poppy, also a lifestyle blogger (next to me) was there as well.
Here is a glimpse of the amazing goodie bag that Emilie offered us. It contained a backup battery, Luxuriant magazine, sparkling wine, 10% discount at Smets, Giorgio Armani beauty products, drink voucher for go Ten, and my favourite: Ladurée macarons. Whatever Emilie does, it's always classy and of high quality.
After the lesson, we, the bloggers, attended the second event of the evening: Janette porte Courrèges. You may remember that I was at the Janette magazine launch back in September.

The aim of the event was to (re)discover the Courrèges fragrances.
The lady in pink is Anne Louise Gautier, a professional perfumer from Paris, who was there to talk about the fragrances and her work.
As some of you may know, Courrèges fashion was launched in the sixties, my favourite fashion decade. I love pink and white and I'd wear this outfit myself.
Monika and Casha from our group.
In case you don't know them by now; from left: Carmen, Poppy, Monika, Casha and Imena.
These cream puffs looked very tempting but I resisted them.
Ariane (left) is another fashion blogger from Luxembourg. I'm looking forward to doing an outfit shoot with her tomorrow.
And this is the Janette goodie bag that we were given at the end of the event. It contained the latest Janette magazine, perfume, cup, pochette, ring, and nail polish (perfect colour for me, I really like red).

It was a great evening filled with learning, socializing and good energy.
