Ukulele & barbecue / last weekend

On Friday I had a day off as I was supposed to fly to Kiev for a long weekend. Given the current situation in the Ukraine, I cancelled the trip. Instead I made the most of my free day and I was able to take a long lunch for a change. I picked up F and we went to Ukulele, a Thai restaurant, in Clausen. I had a green curry with prawns.

F had the chicken version.

The food was really good and excellent value for money. A much better deal than at Thai Celadon.

After lunch we had a digestif at Brauerei.

On Saturday my sister had a little pre-housewarming party at her new house. She hasn't fully moved in yet but she wanted to have her friends over for a barbecue.

There was more than enough to drink!

People brought their own food, veggie burgers for me, and there was amazing tiramisu for dessert. So good that I forgot to take a photo of it. I left quite early and went home to watch the latest RHONY episodes.

  3. Congrats to your sister on her new home. The prawn curry looks amazing, quite unique having a name like ukulele for a Thai restaurant. I enjoyed reading your views on my last post. Have a Fantastic Friday!

  4. Ohh what is "Digestive"? I have never seen a drink version! The closest I have came across were digestive cookies :)

    1. A digestif is a drink that you have after a meal (as opposed to an apéritif).

  12. I think it is not safety to go to Ukraine at this moment too. Mmm the party at your sister's new place must have been fun especially when there are Captain Morgan Spiced and the Bombay bottles :D Just kidding. Looks like a funny weekend.
