Desom / Overseas

On Wednesday I met up with S for dinner at Desom, a great restaurant next to the Moselle, the river that separates Luxembourg from Germany. S ordered a burger whose the bun consisted of potato cakes.

I had the most delicious goat cheese salad ever.

S ordered a couple of ice cream scoops but didn't expect to be served such a huge dessert.

During the evening I made her discover Tinder and she was instantly hooked. Her 'mission' was to find a match for me (she is already taken) and it got a bit embarrassing when she 'liked' someone instead of swiping 'nope'. Not long after there was a match and I let her chat with the guy and figure out a way to get rid of him...

The next day my friend L and I had dinner at a Malaysian restaurant she had suggested: Overseas. I had breaded prawns as a starter.

L's starter.

This was my main course. It was very filling and tasty. Overall I didn't find Malaysian food that much different from Chinese.

It's quite unusual for me to spend a Friday evening at home... It's nice to have a little rest as I will be out tomorrow evening and I have a family lunch on Sunday. xo

  3. While I am not a huge cheese lover, I do like goat cheese as well as Greek cheese. Funny thing you said about Birkenstocks. I remember they used to be called "tom boy shoes" or even worse "lesbian shoes" for girls ~_~ It's kind of like the Ugg boots from Australia. Growing up we always treat them as house slippers or something you wear only to get your mails etc. In the 2000's they became such "hit" items in America girls in California were wearing them with shorts outdoor @_@. Funny thing, fashion and trend these days...
