Castle Hill (Budapest Day 2)

I'm glad that today I didn't spend all day in bed. I managed to leave the hotel at noon and I must have walked about five hours today. Before heading to Buda, I walked around Margaret Island where I saw this bunch chilling on the ground.

This is the fluffiest chicken I have ever seen.

These are the Parliament Buildings as seen from the side of Buda.

I took the funicular up to the Buda Castle.

Once up, you can enjoy great views of Pest.

Fisherman's Bastion

I had Hungarian pasta and breaded fish for lunch. The waitress was a surprised about my choice of combination; she was going to serve me potatoes or rice instead of the pasta. It's true, I rarely eat pasta with fish but this was a nice meal.

Castle Hill is an absolute must see when visiting Budapest. Today's weather could have been better but as long as it wasn't raining, it was fine. Tomorrow is my last day. I am planning on visiting the spa at my hotel and have a relaxing day.

  5. The Fisherman's Bastion is my favourite place in Budapest because of the view and the colours of the buildings there. I see that you spent the whole day yesterday sightseeing and you took some great photos! I was going to ask you whether you have plans on visitng Bratislava - it is 2 hours away by bus. Have a realxing last day and enjoy!:)

    1. Oh I didn't think about combining this trip with Bratislava. I think that I will visit that city next time I go to Vienna.

    2. Yes, that's absolutely reasonable as it is pretty closer to Vienna than Budapest:)
