Day five: I started off with a nice salmon bagel at Coffee Fellows. I got a ticket for the TV Tower and I was surprised to find out that the waiting time was going to be four hours and a half!
I walked around Alexanderplatz...
... where I learned that Easter markets are the new Christmas markets.
The Nikolaiviertel is a really nice area with old houses and looks like a movie set.
With so much time to kill, I visited the DDR (GDR) Museum.
The DDR Museum is one of my favourite attractions in Berlin and I would really recommend it if you ever visit. For most of us it is just unimaginable how it must have been to live in East Germany.
Up next was a visit to the Pergamon Museum. A must for antiquities lovers.
After a short ice cream break, I went back towards the TV Tower.
I had to wait another hour before it was my turn to go up.
But the view was pretty cool.
I could see my hotel (left side of Unter den Linden)
On my way back to the hotel, I stopped at Lindner's for a asparagus quiche. My taste buds are pretty weak and only halfway through I realized that I had mistaken ham for anchovies! Of course, I removed the remaining piece of meat.
