Däiwelskichen

Here are some photos from last night's dinner at Däiwelskichen (translation: devil's kitchen), a South American restaurant in Luxembourg City. I had a Mar de Plata salad with prawns, smoked salmon and croutons.

Following my recommendation, my friend AM gave the grilled prawns a try.

K, who is vegetarian, went for the goat and blue cheese salad.

We had a very cute waiter but he didn't understand what we were saying and he was confused most of the time. I asked for an espresso and he brought me the bill... At the end I asked him what language he spoke. It turned out that he didn't understand any French, only Portuguese and English.

In other news: I picked up my new car on Monday! I am very very happy with it. The weather has been great and I have had the chance to drive with the top down. It's very fast but I make every effort to drive sensibly. It's also a good motivation to drink less when going out as I don't want to have a crash with this one.

Tomorrow I'm off to London for a long weekend. The weather should be great and I can't wait to spend time in one of my favourite cities.

  4. That's too funny how your cute waiter couldn't understand what you guys were saying to him. Ha I only speak English and two dialogues of Chinese so I will end up looking useless and stupid if I go visit Europe haha. I love South American food especially all the sea foods like prawns! Yum! Have a great time in London!
