This is my final Rio post, in which I show you some photos of my hotel. I stayed at the Windsor Atlantica in Copacabana, a five star hotel which is currently ranked third on Tripadvisor for hotels in Rio. I was also excited to learn that the England football team (that I will be supporting) will make it their home during the upcoming World Cup.
I am very picky and I will immediately notice any faults, be it a bit of dust or a hair. This room was spotless.
The view wasn't great as I could only see two centimetres of the beach but I wasn't going to sit at the window looking outside all day.
Most hotel bathrooms (that I get) don't have much space to put my toiletries and wash bags on but in this case, I had more than enough room.
The view from the breakfast room right onto the beach was amazing. The couple of times that I managed to get up early, i.e. at 6 am, I was lucky to catch the beautiful sunrise.
The tall building is the hotel. There were two outdoor swimming pools: one on the fourth floor (see photo below) and one on the roof (37th floor).
From the rooftop you can see Copacabana beach...
... and the Christ the Redeemer statue (right).
I really enjoyed to watching the sunset at around 7.30 pm whilst drinking a caipirinha. I would definitely recommend this hotel and stay there again if given the opportunity.
