For my sister's birthday, we had dinner at the same restaurant (Cafe bei der Giedel) where we celebrated mine a month ago. I started off healthy with a small gazpacho...
... and a prawn salad. I nicked some chips and a bit of raclette cheese to have on the side. The food was excellent - as expected - and my sister was very happy with all the gifts she got.
The following day I was meeting my friend D (the one I had not been in touch with for a few years and who is now back on the scene) for dinner. The traffic in the city was crazy; I have never seen it that busy on a supposedly ordinary Friday night. I believe that there many company Christmas parties taking place. I had to queue half an hour to get into the car park. As my friend was late and would have taken another thirty minutes to park, we agreed that he pick me up and we would eat somewhere around Glacis.
The first two restaurants that we tried to get in were full but third time was lucky. We finally got a table at Da Vinci on Limpertsberg.
I had a salad with prawns wrapped in batter, anchovies, feta cheese and...
... lots of onions, which I didn't eat of course!
After dinner we went back to the City centre where traffic had calmed down at last. We had a drink at Art Scene and called it a day.
