Scotland Day 2: Glasgow

I absolutely wanted to visit Glasgow while I was in Scotland. It is only an hour train ride away from Edinburgh, so I decided to spend one afternoon there. I was told that it would be great for shopping.

I had lunch at the Willow Tea Rooms, where I ordered rosehip tea and a Scottish rarebit with a savoury sauce of Lockerbie cheese served on toast. It was so delicious!

In my opinion, Glasgow is excellent for high street shopping, whereas Edinburgh is the place for luxury shopping.

  1. Lovely tartan pic that first one! And so Both cities are shopping heavens, good to know which one is good for luxury and which is good for high street, I guess a mix and match of both will do as they are so close by train to each other!

  8. The Scottish rarebit looks lovely. Glasgow doesn't appeal to me as much as Edinburgh as the latter is so beautiful x
