I've been building up a restaurant posts backlog, therefore I am squeezing five recent experiences into one.
At the beginning of August, my friend F and I tried Bick Stuff in Clausen. We were offered an original amuse-bouche: tomato and mozzarella tartare, and green gazpacho.
Most of the restaurant's dishes were with meat (which I don't eat) and since it was really hot that evening, I chose a light fish salad.
I didn't have room for dessert but we were offered small chocolate biscuits that were smiling at me and I couldn't leave without trying them. They were worth it!

For our dinner catch up a couple of weeks ago, my friend E suggested Le Bistrot Gourmand in Remerschen. This village is part of the Luxembourg wine region, right next to the Moselle, the river that separates Luxembourg from Germany.
The weather was great (27 C) and we got a table on the terrace. I had a scampi salad and my friend chose the chicken skewer with fries and greens.
It was nice to discover a new place in a different corner of the country. It felt like being on holidays.

Whilst in Hamburg, I had dinner at Aquí, a Spanish-Portuguese restaurant in the Schanzenviertel. As I walked in the waiter offered to have dinner with me. I told him that I would think about it but, of course, I would never have considered it!
Two plates would have been enough but since I rarely have tapas, I ordered four. The fried cheese and the bacalhau were so delicious!
I hadn't been to Chi-Chi's, a Mexican restaurant (and I think the only Mexican in Luxembourg), for years. Luckily the weather was good, so my friend L and I got to sit on the terrace. We both ordered quesadilla and we were not disappointed. It's a good place but don't expect the food to be the same as in Mexico.

Friday evening was Clausen time. F and I had dinner at Brauerei ("brewery"). I ate a goat cheese salad, which tasted so nice. I don't want to know how many calories it had.
We then went to IKKI for drinks but not much was going on. Most people must have been at the Schueberfouer, the big annual summer fair, or still on holidays. We called it a night at 9.30 pm.
