Food XXX (NY X)

Here is some of the food I had when I wasn't eating at restaurants.

At home I never get the chance to eat fries with melted cheese. It's just not available.

A healthy green salad with tofu from Fresh & Co.

I ordered this omelette sandwich for breakfast, thinking that it would be half the portion (which would have been enough) but it wasn't.

Sushi from Masato at the Grand Central Station food court.

Breaded shrimps from Nathan's Famous (Coney Island).

Breakfast at the World Center hotel. Potatoes included.

Lebanese food platter from Eata Pita at Grand Central.

I love Whole Foods at Columbus Circle and I ate there many times. The choice of food is phenomenal: vegan, vegetarian, Indian, Japanese, Italian, sandwiches, healthy salads and so on and on.

This may look totally unappetizing but it was one of the best desserts I had: apple crumble with pieces of pancakes.

Goat cheese pizza.

Doughnut from Dunkin' Donuts.

Simplified version of my name.

Mozzarella wrap at Starbucks.

Eating healthy while on holidays is tricky because there is so much temptation and you keep telling yourself, "just this once". How do you handle it, do you resist or give in?

  11. hmmm you surely ate well in NYC!!! And its strange how much those fries with melted cheese are similar to our national dish, poutine! There is a gravy sauce on top to melt the cheese, honestly the best and I miss it so much! And woow I also miss North American breakfasts, so hearty and yummy (although the English breakfast is also one of my fave and the French not a bad one, I mean how doesn't love croissant and Bonne Maman jam!).

  14. During regular days I don´t eat out really often because restaurants are too expensive and always only just fast food isn´t my thing (even if I like fast food a lot!). Being on holiday however I find it really hard to find a good, healthy and yet not too expensive place to eat so it will often be a pizza or burger then...
