Le Train Bleu (New York)

So far the best food experience during my stay in New York. As the name suggests it, the restaurant looks like a restaurant carriage. I loved it because the food was absolutely delicious and the waiter was so charming.

I decided to go for the grilled salmon. It was served with salad, asparagus, beetroots and potatoes. As a side dish I had sautéed spinach.

I really didn't want to have dessert because I was really full after the main course. But since I wanted to hang around a bit longer, yes, the waiter was that darling, I went and ordered a crème brûlée. At the end, he offered me the dessert (I didn't have to pay for it) because according to him I had to sit next to the noisy kitchen (which had not been an issue for me - I had chosen that table) and he wanted to make up for that. I didn't know what to say; that was such a sweet gesture. If only all waiters could be this attentive and friendly...

  16. Haha that waiter sounded like he had another intention (wink wink)! Did you check to see if there's a note hidden somewhere in the cream brûlée or your bill? lol
All kidding aside the food does look fantastic and I'm glad you had a great experience after the last bad one at the Russian tea house!
