Eurovision dinner

A friend offered to host a Eurovision dinner on Saturday. We watched the annual show whilst eating the great food that she had prepared: thyme waffles with creamy mushrooms and cherry tomatoes...

... and green salad with stir-fried vegetables.

Denmark was the obvious and well-deserved ESC winner (as already predicted at the Luxembourg Preview event that I attended last month).

Two songs that I also wanted to win: O Mie by Aliona Moon for Moldova and It's My Life by Cezar for Romania (the  most eccentric performance).

Did you watch and what are your thoughts?

  3. That meal looks so pretty - and it sounds delicious, too. I missed the Eurovision this year and I was glad of it, when I heard how Ireland fared!

  4. I also watched with friends and family.
I believe Norway was more deserving to win.

  20. I love the fact that you liked Cezar's song, I loved it! Actually voted for it :) I also love Italy's song, cant stop hearing it. What did you think about it? Denmark was very impressive and deserved to win. This year I really enjoyed watching the show as Malta got a very good placing :) Had a Euro dinner on Sat and a Euro party on Thur (2nd semi final) Fabulous food btw, must have been a very fun evening xxx

  46. Looks like you had a great evening! Also cooked at home, had Mexican :) A lot of talk about all the voting and results still, Russia is very surprised that they didnt get any points from Azerbaijan, although Azerbaijan is now saying that from their voting Russia was second most liked. Who knows what happens every year and all the politics involved xoxo ES
