TEDx Luxembourg City 2013: Courage

Last year I had the chance to attend Luxembourg's first TEDx event. It was such a great experience, that I made sure that I would also be going this year. The theme was "courage".

The talks were personal, some very touching and all of them inspiring. Inevitably we were left to question ourselves where we could be more courageous and to realise that we have the power to be the change that we want to see in the world.

This device is used by secondary school pupils to encourage them to learn by doing.

I was so focused on the talks that I didn't take any photos of the speakers. Instead let me share a couple of photos of MUDAM, the Modern Art Museum in Luxembourg City, where the event took place.

These X biscuits were incredibly delicious. I ate four of them...

... but I resisted the muffins.

Probably the most memorable musical act of the day: "Mambo Schinki". A very entertaining performance. I really liked his interpretation of Hit the Road Jack.

I can't wait to attend next year's TEDx Luxembourg's event!

  16. This sounds like a very inspiring and worthwhile event and I don't know how you resisted the muffins. I'm just catching up on your posts as I've just returned from London. Your afternoon / high tea looked amazing and a change to have hot dishes and I enjoyed your photos of Camden Market. I never tire of London!

  24. Ted always has the best talks. I've always wanted to attend but never have the time so I just sign up for their podcasts. I think you're the first person I know who's actually attended one of their events in person. Love this!
