Day trip to Brussels

  1. You finally visited the Atomium! If I remember correctly you left a comment on my Brussels post saying you had visited Brussels quite often but never seen the Atomium. Was little Europe worth a visit? I didn't go there. Did you see Manneke Pis too?

  6. My god - that's the real Elizabeth Taylor? When I saw the shot I thought it was Li-Lo AS Lizzy - maybe it wasn't such weird casting after all!

  36. Brussels actually looks like fun, you have shown me a different side to it Anouka! I always imagine it as a city associated with politics and legal stuff etc etc. That Mini-Europe park looks sooo interesting, Im curious was there a Malta landmark?? I doubt it even though Malta is an EU member now!

    ReplyDelete
  37. Brussels is a very fun and very laid back city. The Malta landmark is 'Mnajdra' (temple) ;)

    1. Oh yeahh at least we were there :) The temples are actually beautiful, extremely ancient, even older than Stonehenge apparently! I should do a post on them one day.

  40. I saw a new one for me to Brussels in your post. I was there long ago. It was very cold and rainy. I was not happy about this city. But I did not see much of interest in that trip. Your beautiful photos have shown me the other side of the city)

  41. Seems like a lot of fun!

  44. very beautiful!! I've been to Brussels once before and stayed like half a day. Would love to return again.
That mini replica of Europe seems awesome!!

  45. Ooh I love these photos of the Atomium!! I remember reading all about it back at uni and have always wanted to see it in person. I didn't know they have a restaurant inside. You're right, the concepts on an animal exhibition inside Sacre Coeur is indeed rather strange. I only wish you had more photos of the church. Paris sounds like the ideal city for New Years. Lucky girl.
